I’ve been an insomniac most of my life, so I’ve spent a fair amount of time being up at the same time as the moon. I’m in love with the dot-work and amazed it didn’t hurt at all, super happy with tattoo #4. Definitely plan on going back and working with the artist again.

For as long as I can remember, Tim Burton has been the biggest...
For as long as I can remember, Tim Burton has been the biggest inspiration in my life. I remember being little at my Grandma’s house and going through VHS copies of The Nightmare Before Christmas like they were candy. I remember the first time I watched every single movie. I remember saying “I want to have Jack Skellington’s mischievous face on my ankle.” Well, it may not be that exact tattoo, but last night I got to honor the Director, Producer, the Poet, the Artist that has shaped and influenced my life in more ways than anyone could ever fathom. I want to say a BIG thank you to Jake at Daddy Jack’s for bearing with me during my first tattoo and helping me get something I’ve wanted forever. I have Tim Burton’s handwriting on my chest in a permanent reminder that who you are is who you are and that’s okay because you’re you. And I couldn’t be happier.
